Pics to Enjoy

Countdown

Hey guys! Just a couple more days before I head out to Mercy Ships. Packing is coming underway, and I keep praying that I'll remember the little important things to pack ... ie. malaria pills ;)

The Lord is good, so many have been lifting me and the team in prayer. I am so thankful that I already have a friend serving with Mercy Ships that I can call up and ask about last minute details. Thursday is my last day at Duke so we will be enjoying the day with the Macy's Day Parade and lots of food! :) Then I'll be heading home to Pennsylvania over the weekend to visit my family.

My flight leaves out of RDU at 3:40 on Friday then it's onto JFK- London- and Accra, Ghana. I'll be in orientation for the first two weeks I'm there. My primary place of ministry will be in the ICU/Recovery Unit where I will be taking both peds and adult patients. I've been taking care of babies and kids for so long, I hope I know how to take care of the big people :) Activity on the Anastasis should be slow, especially since so many will be home for the holidays.

I'll be excited to share with you the ins and outs of my new "floating" home. I've heard many funny stories about the Anastasis. But then for a ship that should not be sailing and was previously retired, it's entitled to have it's own quirks ;)

Here are a few pics to enjoy- I wanted to share a couple from their ministry now since it may be awhile till I am able to post my own.

Have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
