My Aussie Sister

"Kristen, do you want a cuppa?"

"A what?"

"You know, a cuppa Milo or coffee..."

Oh Kat... how I love all the ways you Aussies shorten all of your words to 50% of what they should be! Other examples: misher= missionary, pushie= bike, aircon= air conditioner...

On April 1st, my dear friend Kat Stout headed for home. She is traveling to China to visit with her family and then back to her beautiful shorelines in Australia. What a great friend, sister in Christ, partner in crime (to be sure) and next door neighbor she has been during these past 4 months. The Lord was so good to give a friend such as her. Kat you will be missed!!

A couple of us went out to dinner to Golden Beach Hotel for dinner before she left for home. It was gorgeous! The sunset was a typical beautiful Liberian one and the food was so good! It was a great place to go.

The night before Kat left we decided to have some fun with her down in the ICU. I had recently received a Easter care package that had a bag of plastic Easter eggs. She had no idea what they were or what to do with them. "Kat! What do you mean you've never seen these before?"

So I decided to send Kat on her first Easter egg hunt. We had retrieved notes from many close friends here on board for Kat. They were hidden in the eggs then hidden around the room.
We had a lot of fun laughing with Kat as she was forced to look in paper shredders, suction canisters, glove boxes and other random places to find her beloved notes. We finished off the hunt with some chocolate cake :)

The next morning she prepared to leave (Kat was always a little on the last minute side- haha) and we stayed up after night shift to make sure she was ready for her trip. Who knows, but I think here we are practicing some goofy dance steps or such! Next... the project of closing her luggage bags. You forget how much you collect over a couple months!!

Oh Kat :) We miss you honey! Have a safe trip and know that we all love, miss and are praying for you!!
